Just bowled a 216 Triplicate

The other night in my scratch league up here in Huntsville, AL I bowled a rare triplicate 216. This award score dosen’t happen to often. When I checked our cities award wall I noticed that only one other person has bowled a triplicate this year. So I am pleased to have this award on my list of achievements.
Now the cool thing about this score was that I didn’t realize I had a shot at it until my very last ball. In the 10th I struck first and then left a (strange for me) 2-4-5-7-8. After turning in bewildrment that I left that I looked at the score and realized that I had a 214 if I missed. So purposly took a shot at the 5 pin hoping to only hit that while the 5 hit the 8, and sure enought that’s what happened. I let out a yell and everyone was confused on why I did that.

I don’t have a very high average, but 3 weeks ago in league, bowled my second triplicate. My first was three 77’s, back when I was about twelve, got lucky this time and bowled three 214’s.

yeah, last week I bowled a triplicate 166 game so I am very proud of that!!!

man i had almost had my triplicate 212 212 then my last game tried to leave a 10 pin and came out with a 213. i was kinda up set but then after a few minutes laughed it off..

I just started to bowl in league this season after a 18 year absence. ( I referee H.S.basketball too ) I had 3 strikes in a row my last game, going into the tenth and got a”7″ and then only got 1 pin … I was mad at myself going back to the table, when our team captain jumped up and said “holy cow! Wally you just got a 158…. I said “Ya that sucks as I couldv’e finally got a better game tonight.” (I wasn’t even aware of the “triplicate thing” )
He then said ” but your first game was a 158 and your second game was a 158…
I said “Wow, I’m consistantly average huh?” He then told me how rare these are to get…
I guess it’s pretty cool…I would never have bowled so crappy in the tenth frame on purpose to get it though …
